Seated With Love's floor plan editor lets a venue lay out its rooms to scale, place tables and equipment, and reuse that layout for every event it hosts.

What it does

How it works

  1. Set up the room, or let us do it

    Send us whatever you already have and our team builds your rooms for you, free, as part of onboarding. If you would rather do it yourself, draw walls, doors, windows, columns and stairs, or upload an existing diagram as a background and trace it. Walls snap to each other at their ends, their midpoints, and along their existing lines, so corners meet cleanly without fighting the mouse.

  2. Add tables and equipment

    Drop in round, rectangular or half circle tables and set the seat count and the seating arrangement, then place the dance floor, bar, buffet, cake and gift tables, photo booth, DJ station and anything else the room needs.

  3. Save it as a template

    Name the finished room and save it. A ceremony setup, a reception setup, a seasonal layout and an outdoor plan can each be their own template.

  4. Reuse it for an event

    When a couple or event host books, start their event from a template. Their plan begins as a copy of your room, so nothing has to be rebuilt and your setup stays the starting point.

  5. Hand it to the client

    Floor plans start locked to your team. When you are ready, switch on editing for that event and the couple or event host can move tables and seat their guests inside the room you drew.

  6. Print and share it

    Export the finished plan as a PDF or an image for your setup crew, your vendors, and the client.

What's included

Scale One grid unit is one foot. Sizes are stored in centimeters, so a plan stays accurate when it is exported or reopened.
Tables Round, rectangular and half circle. Seat counts from 1 to 200, with full, horseshoe, half, long sides, U shape, one side, ends only and custom seating arrangements.
Chairs Individual chairs, and ceremony chair rows with an optional center aisle. Chairs on a table can be switched on and off one at a time.
Venue elements Dance floor, DJ station, bar, buffet, cake table, gift table, photo booth, ceremony arch, entrance, restrooms, coat check and lounge area.
Building elements Straight, arced and half circle walls, solid or dotted, plus single and double doors, round, square and rectangular columns, and stairs.
Decor and outdoor Trees, flowers, umbrellas, couches and furniture tables, microphones, speakers, projectors, candles and easels, plus outdoor surface regions drawn with a pen tool.
Custom elements Anything the library does not cover. Drop in a custom element and set it to a rectangle, circle, square, ellipse, half circle, hexagon, octagon or triangle, in any color, at any size down to one foot, and rotate it into place.
Snapping Venue elements snap to the one foot grid and rotate in 45 degree steps. Walls do not snap to the grid, and rotate in 15 degree steps, so odd angled rooms stay honest.
Multiple floors A plan can hold several floors or rooms, switched from a dropdown, so one event covers the ceremony space and the reception space.
Background images Upload an architectural drawing or a photo as a background, set its focal point and opacity, and lock it while you trace over it.
Editing Multi select, rotate a group around a common center, undo and redo, and lock building elements so they are not moved by accident.
3D tours Embed a Matterport tour of the real room alongside the plan.
Export PDF and PNG at print resolution, either the full canvas or just the drawn content.

Common questions

What is wedding venue floor plan software?

It is a drawing tool for laying out an event space to scale, so a venue can position tables, chairs, a dance floor and the rest of the room before anyone moves furniture. Seated With Love includes one, and a venue draws each of its rooms once and then reuses that layout for every event it hosts.

Does Seated With Love include a floor plan editor?

Yes. It is part of the platform on both the free and the Pro plan, not a paid add-on. The venue draws its rooms, saves them as templates, and can let each client arrange tables inside that layout from their own portal.

Does the floor plan editor work for events other than weddings?

Yes. The room, the tables and the seating work the same way for any event a venue hosts, from showers and corporate events to galas and celebrations of life. The wedding website and the gift registry are the wedding-specific parts of Seated With Love; the floor plan is not.

Do I have to draw my venue more than once, and how many layouts can I keep?

You do not have to draw it even once if you would rather not. Onboarding is free for every venue: send us what you already have, a sketch, a PDF or a photo, and our team builds the digital template for you, along with your venue details, vendors, FAQs and branding. However the first room gets built, you save it as a template, and every event you create from it starts as a copy, so your layout is the starting point rather than something to rebuild. The free plan keeps 3 floor plan templates with 1 active wedding at a time. Pro raises that to 60 templates and 300 active weddings.

Can one event cover more than one room?

Yes. A single plan holds several floors or rooms and you switch between them from a dropdown, so a ceremony space, a cocktail area and a reception room all live in the same event rather than in three separate files.

Is the floor plan to scale?

Yes. One grid unit is one foot, and sizes are stored in centimeters so nothing drifts. A twenty foot dance floor in the plan is twenty feet in the room.

Can couples and event hosts change the floor plan themselves?

Only if you let them. Floor plans are locked to the venue by default. Editing is a switch on each event, and once you turn it on the couple or event host can move tables and seat their guests inside the room you drew. Turn it off again at any point.

Can I upload a floor plan I already have?

Yes. Upload the drawing or photo as a canvas background, set its opacity, lock it, and trace your walls over it. The background stays behind the plan for reference.
