What it does
- Puts every booking on the calendar on its own, with no date typed in twice.
- Takes you from a booking on the calendar straight into that event, in one click.
- Holds your own entries too: site visits, tastings, holds, maintenance, deliveries, anything that occupies the venue.
- Keeps notes your team can see and your clients cannot.
- Shows multi-day events across their whole span rather than as a dot on the first day.
- Gives overlapping events distinct colors, so a double booking is visible rather than buried.
How it works
-
Open the calendar
Your bookings are already on it. Any event with a date appears without anyone adding it, labelled with the client name.
-
Pick the view that suits the question
Month to see the shape of the season, week or day when you are working out logistics, list when you want it as a run of dates you can read down.
-
Add what is not a booking
Drag across the dates and add a site visit, a tasting, a hold, a maintenance window or a delivery. Give it a location and notes for your team.
-
Set how long it runs
Give it a start and end time, mark it all day, or run it across several days. A weekend event shows across the weekend.
-
Jump to the booking
Click an event on the calendar and go straight to its workspace, with its documents, questionnaires, floor plans and client portal.
What's included
| Bookings appear on their own | Any event with a date is on the calendar automatically, titled with the client name and in its own reserved color. Nothing is re-entered, so the calendar cannot drift out of step with your bookings. |
|---|---|
| Click through to the event | Clicking a booking opens its workspace, so the calendar is a way into the work rather than a separate record of it. |
| Your own entries | Add anything that is not a booking: site visits, tastings, holds, maintenance, deliveries. Each takes a title, a description and a location. |
| Internal notes | Entries carry notes for your team. The calendar is a venue tool, so nothing on it appears in a client portal. |
| Four views | Month, week, day and list. List is the one to print or read down when you want dates rather than a grid. |
| Timed, all day or multi-day | Set a start and end time, mark something all day, or run it across several days. A multi-day event draws across its full span. |
| Overlap is visible | Events that overlap are given different colors automatically, so two things landing on one afternoon stand out instead of blending together. |
| Your venue only | The calendar covers your own organization. A company running several venues keeps each one to its own calendar. |

Common questions
What is wedding venue calendar software?
It is one view of everything happening at a venue: the booked events themselves, plus the site visits, tastings, holds and maintenance around them. In Seated With Love your bookings appear on the calendar on their own, and you add your other entries around them.
Does Seated With Love include a venue calendar?
Yes, on both the free and the Pro plan. It is in the venue dashboard under Calendar, and your bookings are already on it the first time you open it.
Do I have to add my bookings to the calendar myself?
No. Any event that has a date is placed on the calendar automatically, labelled with the client name. You are never entering the same date in two places, so the calendar cannot fall out of step with your bookings.
Can I put things on the calendar that are not bookings?
Yes. Add site visits, tastings, holds, maintenance windows, deliveries or anything else that occupies the venue, each with a title, description, location and notes for your team.
Can an event run across more than one day?
Yes. An entry can have a start and end time, be marked all day, or run across several days, and a multi-day event draws across its whole span rather than appearing only on the first date.
Can clients see the venue calendar?
It is a tool for your team. The calendar and the notes on it live in the venue dashboard, and a couple or event host plans from their own portal.
Does the calendar cover events other than weddings?
Yes. Every event type a venue hosts appears on it the same way, so a corporate booking, a gala and a wedding all sit on one schedule.
